Toukokuun Terveiset! Greetings for the
Month of May, 2013!
The Finland Calling program is well on its
way for the 51st Year, in a sense celebrating
with going to HD! Looking back 51 years,
the video used when playing music was
pictures from all sorts of books of Finland.
And the music used came first from 78rpm
and 45rpm records played on a turntable
in the control room. Wow..things have really
changed...the computer reigns supreme!
I will have 2 High School Finnish Exchange
Students as guests May 5; May 12 is Mothers Day and there'll be special music for Mom's plus two guests promoting the Salvation Army.
On May 13th Monday, I'm driving to Wakefield to visit the Gogebic Medical Care Facility in the afternoon and hopefully take some video to share with viewers on the May 19th Show.
May 27th is Memorial Day and a time for
everyone to remember those who gave their
lives so we could be Free!
Doris and I are gearing up to celebrate the
51st year of Suomi Kutsuu with an
Anniversary Dance June 2nd at the Wakefield VFW! Music to be provided by Richie Yurkovich and Friends. Doors to open at 1:00pm, dancing from 2 to 6pm!
Isn't it wonderful to finally have the end of
SNOW Falling!!!!! Springtime is Awesome
Hey? Wishing everyone the Very best! Keep Smiling!!!! Hei Carl
