MARQUETTE -- For more than 30 years judge Michael Anderegg has served as the Marquette County Probate Judge and now he's retiring. Judge Anderegg was elected as probate judge in 1977 and was re-elected five times since. Anderegg say's he's seen a lot in his 36 years of service and that his success is also due to those who have helped him in his career.

"I've been extremely fortunate.  I've had a wonderful staff from the very first day I started right on up through today,  I've had great cooperation from the Marquette County Prosecutor's Office.  I've loved my work, and I've loved the people I worked with," said Judge Anderegg.

With Anderegg's retirement taking effect at the end of the year. Cheryl Hill will be sworn in as the new Probate Judge this Friday.  Anderegg plans to stay busy during his retirement.  He will continue to serve on a number of local boards.
