MARQUETTE -- USA Today online contest is looking at the best football rivalries in Michigan, and the Marquette-Negaunee rivalry is in the running. The overall winner of the contest receives $10,000 to be split between the two teams.

The Redmen and Miners have faced each other since 1894. The Negaunee Miners are in the lead 68-57, but this year Marquette won a close battle.

"This is a time when we have to pull together, Marquette and Negaunee together; we're both voting for the same rivalry," said Marquette Senior High School Athletic Director Jamie Tuma. "So can Marquette and Negaunee work together here and win $10,000 that will benefit both of our programs?"

The contest is divided into three sections, state, regional and national. The voting is open until December 3, and you can vote as many times as you like. To vote in the USA Today contest, click here.
