Names released in fatal crash involving semi truck

GLADSTONE -- The person that was killed in an accident involving two passenger vehicles and a semi truck has been identified.

Escanaba resident Thomas Swift, 73, was killed in a crash that happened just after 8 p.m. Wednesday night in Gladstone at the intersection of US-2/41/M-35 and South Hill Road.

Swift was killed in the crash two others were injured. Thomas Swift's wife was injured in the crash and was taken to OSF St. Francis and then transferred to Marquette General Hospital where she is listed in serious condition.

The driver of the other passenger vehicle, 72-year-old Joyce Scheriff, was taken to OSF St. Francis where she is listed in stable condition. 

The driver of the semi, 24-year-old Harley Durocher, was not injured in the crash.

According to the Gladstone Public Safety Department, the crash remains under investigation.
