IRON MOUNTAIN -- A community group in Iron Mountain is offering up a free hot lunch.

At Cornerstone Community Church, volunteers meet to serve hot soup and fresh bread to anyone who would like the free meal.

The community group that meets at the church has been volunteering here for three years.

"There was nobody that was providing a noon lunch and downtown where, if you didn't have a car, you could just walk to it, you know?  We're a well-oiled group!" said volunteer, Carole McCarty.

People of all ages came to enjoy some bread, soup, and fellowship.  Volunteers say they enjoy having multiple churches coming together to serve the community.

The lunch is offered every Tuesday at Cornerstone Community Church in downtown Iron Mountain starting at 11:30.
