ESCANABA -- The Escanaba harbor was packed with people Saturday for the seventh annual "Jig It Ice Fishing Extravaganza."

Big Brothers, Big Sisters (BBBS) of the Bay Area organizes the event each year. It's one of their biggest annual fundraisers.

The most fish were caught by children in the "kid's koop." Kids had the opportunity to fish for 600 trout in a caged area.

The jig it had plenty of food and fun for the whole family.

"I can see everybody is just having a good time, and it's beautiful out. It's great to see this many people and families out on the ice catching fish," said Executive Director BBBS of Bay Area, Tanya Schuster.

Around 450 people competed this year and with better results than last year, when only one fish was caught all day.
