ESCANABA -- Escanaba Public Safety officers were called early Sunday morning to the Admiral Gas Station on a report of an armed robbery at knifepoint.

Public Safety officers responded to the scene and were advised by the clerk that a lone masked man came into the station, brandishing a large hunting knife, demanding money.

The clerk gave the subject an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect left on foot.

Officers set up a perimeter to utilize the department’s K9.  Public Safety’s K9 handler, his partner, ‘Dag,’ and Public Safety officers were able to track the suspect to a residence located on the north side of Escanaba.  Officers then set up a perimeter around the residence.

A search warrant was executed at the residence with evidence being located that will aid in the investigation. As a result of the warrant, three individuals located inside the residence were arrested on various charges ranging from armed robbery to false statements made to police.

All three subjects were lodged at the Delta County Jail pending formal arraignment in the 94th District Court.
