IRON MOUNTAIN -- It's been unseasonably warm for days, but if you walk outside right now, you'll notice that it's much colder than it was Friday night.

It all started Saturday morning and afternoon as a cold front passed over the U.P.

In Iron Mountain, temperatures have been dropping quickly from a mild start this morning.

When it was still warm enough to keep highways clean from any snow and warm enough to keep the roads wet and muddy away from the highways.

It seemed no matter where you looked there were puddles from melting snow.

Ice is thinner than normal on most rivers and lakes, but that didn't keep residents around Moon Lake from treating themselves to some ice fishing.
