MARQUETTE -- A Marquette man was arrested after threatening a Marquette General Hospital nurse with a knife, according to the Marquette Police Department.

Robert Allen Wallace, 48, allegedly threatened the nurse in the ER waiting room on Saturday at around 8:30 p.m. Police reported that Wallace was brandishing the knife while speaking with a nurse. She felt threatened, left Wallace, and contacted police.

Northern Michigan University Public Safety officers were on duty at the hospital and responded to the incident, removed the knife from Wallace and took control of the situation.

Wallace is facing a charge of felonious assault.  He is currently lodged in the Marquette County Jail.
