MARQUETTE -- JLM Snow Removal in Marquette will, once again, be offering free rides on New Year's Eve. They will be providing rides from 8 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday.

Three drivers will be available for the Marquette and Chocolay Township areas. The business caters to hundreds of drivers each year.

Jim Meyers, president of JLM, has been providing free rides on New Year's Eve for the past five years. He said it is his way of giving back to the community to help minimize drunk driving on the holiday.

"We're helping to keep drunk drivers off the road," said Meyers. "Everybody loves it and they look forward to us doing it. They've kind of started to rely on us to do it every year to help them."

Meyers said that when you call, just let them know where to pick you up and drop you off and how many people are in your group. To contact JLM Snow Removal, call (906) 362-6490.
