MARQUETTE -- Three men have entered guilty pleas for an incident at the Marquette breakwater that took place earlier this month.

The men are 24-year-old Ryan Michael Doyle of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 24-year-old John Patrick Pires of Mukwanago, Wisconsin and Marquette resident, 23-year-old Joseph Matthew Stieber. All three were arrested and charged after having to be rescued from the structure.

The trio disregarded the locked gate and went onto the breakwater during high seas.  The U.S. Coast Guard  rescued  the men from the breakwater and returned  them to safety where they were taken into custody by the Marquette City Police Department.

The men all plead guilty to charges of drunk and disorderly and trespassing. Sentencing is pending.
