MARQUETTE -- Fox Marquette is putting in some extra effort to help get Marquette Senior High School's athletic program back on its feet.

They held a fundraiser Wednesday with all proceeds going to the high school's athletic transportation needs.  The athletic program lost $46,000 this year because of budget cuts and Fox Marquette is helping to make up the difference.

Wednesday, anyone could test drive a car and the dealership and Ford Motor Company donated $20 per test drive to the MSHS Athletic Department.

"There is no pressure.  There aren't any sales going on.  If they want questions answered, we'll be more than happy to answer them for them.  We'd like them just to come down and help out the school program because they do need the help, and we're here to help out with that also," said Fox Marquette Sales Manager, Marty Rose.

Last year, the dealership held a similar fundraiser and earned $4,500 for the high school.

This year, they're aiming for $6,000.
