School bus hits pedestrian

MARQUETTE -- An accident between a school bus and a pedestrian is being investigated in Marquette.

Marquette City Police, Fire, and Marquette General EMS responded to the corner of College Avenue and Eighth Street shortly after 7 a.m. Monday morning where a 14-year-old female was struck by a school bus headed west on College Ave.  The female sustained minor injuries and was transported to by EMS to Marquette General Hospital for treatment. 

A section of College Avenue was closed while police officers surveyed the scene by marking the road and taking measurements.

The students who were on the bus at the time of the accident were transferred to another school bus and taken to school.
