MARQUETTE -- One local band is making a big noise across Michigan. Everything Under The Sun is a Marquette-based band that has won battle of the bands contests and now has its sights on a bigger stage. They're competing in a contest through Charter Communications that could win them $25,000 and a chance to open up for some popular bands.
"We're trying to put Marquette on the map in the sense of there's a lot of talent here, and it's an untapped resource, and we feel it's about time people know about us," said Bret Hanson, vocalist for Everything Under The Sun.
The band will also be playing at the Wooden Nickel Saturday night. You can vote for the band once per day up until August 20.
