MARQUETTE -- Northern Initiatives is looking for your vote to win a competition sponsored by Starbucks.

Starbucks is giving away four million dollars throughout the United States.  Two Michigan organizations are competing for $35,000.

The competition supports organizations that help small businesses grow.  Northern Initiatives will invest that money in staffing and helping businesses.

"Northern Michigan University students who are working for us, helping us to provide technical assistance to businesses that are customers.  So they're doing things like credit analysis, market research helping to develop an E-commerce solution," said Northern Initiatives President, Dennis West.

You still have two weeks to cast your vote.
