HOUGHTON -- The votes are tallied and the winners of the Michigan Tech Undergrad Expo are in.

Coming in first place for the Enterprise Design team is ITOxygen.  They partnered with a company to help them develop their network operations center which allows the company to find the location of their technicians.

The group also developed a variety of other information solutions and they are excited about the win.

"This is a team, so myself as well as everyone else has put in an absolute ton of hours in trying to make this a really successful enterprise where we can start learning some real skills and programming and we're doing real projects for real companies," said Garrett Lord, CEO of ITOxygen Enterprise.

First place in Senior Design went to Team 130.  They came up with a bio-absorbable polymer-coated metal stent.  The design releases a drug or medicine to a diseased artery.  Once it's no longer needed, the stent will biodegrade.

The design components will be passed on to next years seniors to further the research.
