ISHPEMING -- If you can't wait for summer to get out and ride a bike, the Bell Indoor Bike Race may be the answer.
Bell Hospital will hold its inaugural Indoor Bike Race on Saturday, April 9. It is being put on by the Bell Foundation, and proceeds will benefit the youth strength conditioning and summer speech therapy programs.
In addition to racing, the Marquette Food Co-op will have food samples, and Quickstop Bike Shop will provide bike tune-ups.
The race will be held at 9 a.m. and will consist of teams of six for a three-hour relay.
"It's held right in the hospital itself. We're going to take over the clinic portion of the hospital; we're going to line up indoor bikes right in the hallways," said Race Director, Jeff Nyquist.
Team sponsors need to register by March 25 and can do so by calling Bell Hospital at (906) 485-2699.
