ISHPEMING -- The third annual Bell Bike Race is coming up in March, and organizers need participants to join the race. The race raises funds for the Wellness Program for Youth.

The program teaches kids from sixth to eighth grade good healthy eating habits and better physical activities.

Participants will race in teams of up to six people on stationary bikes. The team with the highest combined mileage wins.

To join, you're asked to raise $100.

"It's a kickoff to the biking season, it's a nice kickoff to being more healthy and active for the spring," said race director Jeff Nyquist. "So we're just encouraging, even the community, to come down and be a part of this really healthy event."

The race takes place on Saturday, March 16, at Bell Hospital. Organizers are hoping to raise at least $10,000.
