IRON MOUNTAIN -- A figure skating event is taking place in Iron Mountain this weekend and for some of the skaters it may be the last time they perform.

The Ice Reflections figure skating clubs are slated to perform this coming Saturday and Sunday at the Mountain View Ice Arena.

Some of these girls have been skating for over 10 years, so it may be a bittersweet event for them. Others are simply looking forward to another opportunity to showcase their talent.

"Well, shows are always really fun," said figure skater Allison Sparpana. "You just get to show off what you've learned the whole year, and it's more of a fun experience because you can have fun while you're doing it."

Another unique aspect to the event will be the father-daughter skate that will take place on both days. Saturday's performances are at 1 and 5 p.m. and Sunday's performance is at 2 p.m.
