Kids learned about the history of sound at the Marquette Regional History Center
MARQUETTE -- Many families spent Saturday learning about sound.
It was the Marquette Regional History Center's monthly "Saturday at the Center" event. This one is called "It's All About Sound." Visitors learned about the evolution of musical technology from the old Victrola to modern day digital music, like iPods. Museum volunteers held demonstrations on various instruments and gave a presentation on the history of radio. The day is meant to be a hands-on experience.
"I liked it. My favorite thing so far has been the handbells," said eight-year-old Amelia Bishop.
