HOUGHTON -- A Hancock woman turned 100 years old Monday in a huge birthday celebration.

Adeline Roy was born on March 11, 1913 in Hancock.  She grew up going to school in Hancock and worked at St. Joseph's Hospital. She is the mother of 4, the grandmother of 8, and the great-grandmother of 17.

Adeline says her fondest memories in life are any times spent with her family.

Many people want to know the secret of living a long life, but Adeline says there is no secret.

"I have no secret.  Just keep breathing, hey. That's all I can think of," said Adeline.

A special birthday party was held for her by all her family and friends at the Arbor Green in Houghton.
