ISHPEMING -- Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash involving three vehicles in Ishpeming Thursday. It happened at 2:35 p.m. at the intersection of US-41 and Lakeshore Dr.

Police say a Ford Explorer driven by a 23-year-old Ishpeming woman went through a red light on Lakeshore and struck a westbound Chevrolet Cavalier on US-41 driven by a 17-year-old Ishpeming male.  The force of the collision pushed the Cavalier into a Buick Rendezvous that was stopped for the red light at the intersection.

The 17-year-old driver of the Cavalier and a four-year-old child in the Ford Explorer were treated and released from Bell Hospital.

The driver of the Ford Explorer was ticketed for disregarding the red light.
