No injuries in Escanaba house fire

ESCANABA -- A fire broke out in the upstairs attic of a home located at 616 South 11th Street in Escanaba.

It happened Sunday around 2:46 a.m. Escanaba Public Safety responded to the fire and said flames were visible upon arrival.

Officials said the fire was extinguished quickly with fire extinguishers and water. There was some damage to the roof trusses along with water damage to the home.

No injuries were reported and the fire is still under investigation. MSP 84, Delta County Sheriff Department and Rampart assisted Escanaba Public Safety.
