DOLLAR BAY -- The Dollar Bay High School Boy's Basketball team wore pink warm-up t-shirts before the game Thursday night against Lake Linden.

They were sporting the shirts in support of Breast Cancer awareness.  The shirts were auctioned at the doors with each of the players' names and numbers on the back.  They're helping raise money for the cancer fund at the Keweenaw Health Foundation at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital.

The team has been participating in this fundraiser for the past several years.  The coach says it's surprisingly not difficult to convince boys to wear the color pink.

"I think they really enjoy it.  It's a good cause, they recognize that.  And they like the fact that their shirts are auctioned off for a good cause.  You know, it's always a wonder, 'who bought my shirt?' and things like that, so they really like it," said Dollar Bay Head Coach Jack Kumpula.

Dollar Bay Basketball holds this event every year for their game against Lake Linden.
