MARQUETTE -- The first Marquette Bike Jam wrapped up Sunday.

The weekend of bike races and events ended at Marquette Mountain with the trail jam, a cross-country mountain bike race. Registration was $50 for late registrants. Portions of the proceeds benefit the Noquemanon Trail Network and the YMCA. More than 160 bikers of all ages competed in a 12 or 25 mile race.

Some bikers even traveled from as far as Chicago, Minneapolis, and Detroit to join in the fun.

"Today's been great. We've had fantastic weather all weekend. It's going to continue, and it should be a beautiful day for some mountain biking," said Jon Becker, director of the race.

The whole weekend saw more than 400 registered bikers.
