Police find missing hunter

WELLS TOWNSHIP -- The Marquette County Sheriff's Department found a lost hunter in Wells Township on Friday evening.

The search and rescue crew was sent to an area near County Road 426, near Knotty Pine Bar. They were searching for 61-year-old Karen Babcock of Marquette who became lost after tracking an animal she shot around dark, according to police.

Dispatchers were able to get GPS coordinates from the call and located Babcock without incident.
