MARQUETTE -- Stores across the nation were packed, as people race against time to get their Christmas shopping done.
Some people were doing all their Christmas shopping, but many where just picking up that small gift for that family member or friend left on their list.
"I've already got the big items covered so and Santa Claus will be coming to the house with the remainder of the good stuff so," said Joe Derocha, Shopper.
Whether it's a toy, apparel, electronics, or wrapping paper folks were ringing out with a little of everything.
Some have been holding out for better deals.
Christmas Eve is not only a mad dash to get that last Christmas gift, but it's also an opportunity for people to load up on clearance Christmas decorations like lights.
Sporting goods stores were also hustling and bustling.
Shoppers were buying snowshoes, skis, boots, to winter apparel.
"Did you know that you were going to get him snowshoes early on? Not early on, but today we decided or the last couple of days I decided that that would be his Christmas present. So we came here and said take us to the snowshoes," said Karan Hendricks.
