MARQUETTE -- Over a dozen local farmers and crafters showcased their products Saturday at a weekly farmers market in Marquette.

This is the second week of the Winter Farmers Market. Typically, it's held at the Marquette Commons, but because of a scheduling conflict, the weekly event is being held at 502 W. Washington Street, courtesy of the Marquette Food Co-op.

The market featured various creams, vegetables and arts and crafts. One vendor says the market gives the local farmers more visibility and a chance to network.

"I've met a ton of people doing markets over the last couple of years and gotten a lot of great people I see regularly," said Michael Hainstock, a farmer.

The Winter Farmers Market will be held every Saturday through the middle of December.
