ESCANABA -- The Delta County Sheriff's Department has arrested three people following an investigation into an armed robbery at the Grain 'N' Grape convenience store on US 2-41 and M-35 between Escanaba and Gladstone.

One of the people arrested is the clerk who reported the robbery on August 3, 2012.  She claimed a man wearing a ski mask held up the store with a handgun.

The clerk, 22-year-old Annaelise Marie Ambrose of Escanaba, was arraigned Friday on three felony charges, including lying to an officer regarding a violent crime investigation, larceny of a building - aiding and abetting, and conspiracy to commit larceny.  Bond was set at $50,000.

Twenty-year-old Abby Beth Johnson of Escanaba is charged with larceny of a building and conspiracy to commit larceny.  Johnson was also charged with safe breaking in an unrelated theft in April of last year where a safe was stolen from a home in Ford River Township.  She could get up to life in prison on the safe breaking charge if convicted.  Bond was set at $100,000.

The third person arrested in connection with the Grain 'N' Grape robbery is 26-year-old Cory Michael Vanderlinden of rural Gladstone.  He is charged with accessory after the fact to a felony.  His bond was set at $50,000.

The Delta County Sheriff says a tip from Crimestoppers in January led to the arrests of the three individuals.
