Friday was the first day that vendors at the Iron Mountain flea market opened up their stands to shoppers
IRON MT. -- Iron Mountain residents know that Spring is in the air when the U.P. Flea Market arrives. Friday was the first day that vendors opened up their stands to shoppers.
The flea market will be held every Friday through Sunday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. It will continue to run every weekend until the Fall season. The flea market offers a variety of unique merchandise.
Shoppers sorted through items ranging from old, new, and even handmade items.
"I would like to see us get some more vendors out here and everybody come out and see what we got. Everybody out here tries to keep it family oriented, and we'd love to see it increase every year," said Elaine Withers, a coordinator.
Fifteen to 20 vendors were on hand selling items such as jerseys, jewelry, animal furs, and handmade bird houses.
