MARQUETTE -- The Superior Health Foundation has moved into a new office on north Front Street in Marquette.

The foundation used to be known as the Marquette General Foundation, and they worked to help raise money for the hospital to acquire new technology.

Once Marquette General was sold to Duke Lifepoint, they changed their mission. The group now invests money into health-related projects in the Upper Peninsula.

"We feel very good about where we're at. We have a very goal driven, very dedicated board of directors who have worked very, very hard on making sure that we have the right model in place as we start our own little business here, so to speak," said Superior Health Executive Director, Jim Lajoie.

The new office space will also be on display for their upcoming open house. The foundation is inviting the community to visit them on north Front Street, December 5. They hope visitors will learn more about what they plan to provide to the community.
