Beth Millner Jewelry Opens Downtown Marquette, Michigan.
Beth Millner Jewelry opens at 521 W. Washington St. Directly across the street from the soon-to-be location of the Marquette Food Co-op.
Beth is an alumni of Northern Michigan University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Metalsmithing in 2008. Millner was born and raised in Marinette, Wisconsin and has lived in Marquette, Michigan since 2005.
She had a very successful home based business for the past 5 years, selling items online at www.BethMillner.com and at art shows and music festivals around Michigan. Her success has allowed her to purchase a commercial building in order to expand and hire employees. She now has two part time helpers who are also recent graduates NMU’s School of Art and Design.
Millner prides herself in being an eco-friendly business using only recycled silver in her handcrafted designs. She also strictly purchases recycled diamonds for use in custom items. Beth designs sterling silver and mixed metal jewelry with strong nature themes and tree silhouettes. She makes many reversible pieces of jewelry allowing the wearer versatility of design.
Beth Millner was the recent recipient of an Arts Award presented by the Marquette Arts and Culture Center, the City of Marquette and the Lake Superior Arts Association.
A ribbon cutting will be held on Thursday June 28th with the Downtown Development Authority. A Grand Opening Party, June 30th from 11-7, light snacks and refreshments will be served along with special door prizes.
