MARQUETTE -- A fine dining experience for customers and a learning experience for hospitality students. That is what Chez Nous Restaurant is all about, and they are ready to take your reservations.

The restaurant is located in the Jacobetti Skills Center at Northern Michigan University. Their grand opening is planned for March 13 and 14, once students are settled in after spring break.

Chez Nous will be open Wednesdays and Thursdays for lunch. Reservations can be made for the time between 11 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.

The menu includes frittatas and portabella sandwiches, and there will be some student specials added throughout the rest of the semester. Complete meals cost nine to fifteen dollars.

Students who are studying in the hospitality industry operate all aspects of Chez Nous, from waiting tables to cooking the meals, said NMU hospitality professor Leslie Cory.

"You know, I still see people and meet people and they say, 'Oh, I've never heard of Chez Nous,'" said Cory. "The customer feedback that we get is really interesting and varied. Our customers come here because they know it's a student laboratory."

There are also some tasty and complex desserts on the menu, like Sticky Toffee Pudding and Cherry Clafoutis.

To make a reservation, call (906) 227-1981. Chez Nous also has a Facebook page.
