KINGSFORD -- A program at Kingsford High School is giving students a chance to focus on their studies without all of the stress.

The study lounge at the high school is offered every Monday through Thursday after school, allowing students to finish their homework together or alone, and offering a tutor to help them out.

"I get most of my homework done here," said student Madison Vanpembrook. "I usually stay from right after school until about 4:30 p.m."

Students say they benefit from the study lounge, and can get more work done here than at home. Some students find it easier to work in groups and on projects at the lounge.

The study time lasts from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the media center, and students can also volunteer to be a tutor at the study lounge.
