NIAGARA -- With the Super Bowl getting closer and closer, some of us may be excited for the game, but in Niagara people were excited about another aspect of the game: the food.

The Friends of the Library in Niagara held a special Super Bowl tailgating party at the Forward Financial Credit Union. Proceeds and donations from the party will go to fund various events at the library.

"We decided to do a Super Bowl fundraiser a few years ago; this is probably our fourth or fifth year already and the money that's raised for this goes to offset the cost of upcoming programs, author visits, and so on," said librarian Bruce Darne.

From bratwurst to desserts, customers at the credit union and any visitors were able to anticipate with some great food.

Not many Ravens or 49ers fans were in attendance, but many of the volunteers sported their other favorite team colors.
