The company blends different types of plastic. But what does the plastic get turned into?
Plastic packaging and plastic fiber are the company's two main industries. Bubble wrap is an example of one of the company's end products. Carpet, tape, and food packaging are other examples of end products.
Ninety-five percent of what they make ships out on domestic soil.
CEO and President, Mike Rasner, says he's glad the company is in a familiar community.
“I feel proud of the people and the support from the community,” says Rasner. “I actually went to school at this facility for seven years, so now I’m back in a different way."
“What's unique about this is that in a small township, it's a school that's been vacated for quite a long time,” explains Nancy Douglas, Director of the Menominee Business Development Corporation. “To be able to turn that around is really pretty unique, and to work in a small township is exciting."
Rasner says company growth increased 200 percent from 2010-2011, and he's excited about the potential the coming years hold.
