Mission
The purpose of the Great Start Collaborative (GSC) is to assure a coordinated system of community resources and supports to assist all families in Marquette and Alger Counties in providing a “great start” for their children from pre-birth through age five.
Core Responsibilities of the Grant
Enhancing existing early childhood collaboration and coordination; engaging parents, schools, businesses, faith-based organizations, state agencies and other stakeholders in the planning, implementation and coordination of services; promoting community awareness of early childhood issues; and advocating for quality early childhood resources.
