MANISTIQUE, Mich. (WLUC) - The Schoolcraft County Chamber of Commerce has a permanent home as of Friday afternoon.
At noon a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrated the Manistique chamber taking sole ownership of the building they call home.
The chamber is manned by more than fifty volunteers who keep it open seven days a week to serve tourists in the area.
The building had been owned by mBank who decided they wanted to give the $100,000 structure to the community.
Kelly George is the mBank president and CEO.
"We want to support Schoolcraft county as much as possible and donating this building to them will help them in the future and give them a good path forward."
