UPDATE: Arrest made after police standoff in Marquette Friday

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - UPDATE: Feb. 12, 4 p.m.
The Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office authorized a warrant for 31-year-old Lorin Elise Rochon for Assault With A Dangerous Weapon (Felonious Assault) after the event on Friday.

On Monday, Feb. 12, Marquette Police Department arrested Rochon on the warrant. Rochon was lodged at the Marquette County Jail with bond set at $150,000 Cash/Surety.

At approximately 3:30 .p. on Friday, Feb. 9, the Marquette Police Department arrived at an apartment complex located at 200 Northland Drive for a well being check on Rochon.

Prior to officers arriving at her door, Rochon opened the door and pointed a firearm at officers. Marquette Police requested further assistance at which time members of the Michigan State Police and the Marquette County Sheriff’s Department arrived.

Rochon eventually turned the firearm over to a third party.

UPDATE: 8:54 p.m.

On 2-9-18 at approximately 3:30pm the Marquette Police Department arrived at an apartment complex located at 200 Northland Drive for a well being check on a female individual. Contact was made with the individual at the residence at which time the officers perceived a threat. Officers then requested further assistance at which time members of the Michigan State Police and the Marquette County Sheriff’s arrived to assist. At this time, the officers have cleared the scene and the situation has been mitigated without incident.

UPDATE: 7:50 p.m.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. the Marquette Police Department arrived at the Woodview apartment complex at 200 Northland Drive for a well being check on a female.

Contact was made with the woman at the residence and the officers perceived a threat. Officers then requested further assistance.
The Michigan State Police and the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene.

Police remain on scene at this time and the incident is still under investigation.

Woodview Apartments on Northland Drive and Forest Park is currently on a lockdown.

Marquette City Police Officers set up a perimeter around the area.

The reason for this lockdown in unknown at this time.
