2 teens dead, family injured after 2-car crash in Dickinson County

SAGOLA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - Two teenagers are dead after a two-car accident in Dickinson County Saturday.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police, Iron Mountain post responded to a two-car traffic crash at approximately 10:49 a.m. Saturday. The crash occurred on M-95, near the Marquette County line, in Sagola Township of Dickinson County.

18-year-old Taylor Bosley of Kingsford and 17-year-old Jolene Treml of Kingsford were traveling northbound on M-95 when their vehicle lost control and crossed over the center line, colliding into a vehicle heading southbound. Both Bosley and Treml were pronounced dead at the scene.

46-year-old Steven Anderson, 40-year-old Julie Anderson and their two children were in the southbound vehicle, and were all transported to U.P. Health Systems Marquette to be treated for their injuries.

All persons involved in the accident were wearing seatbelts. Speed and weather conditions are considered to be factors in the crash.

Dickinson County Sheriff's Office, STAR Ambulance, Beacon Ambulance, Integrity Ambulance, Sagola Fire and Rescue, and Republic Fire and Rescue all assisted at the scene.

Bosley and Treml were both Kingsford High School students. KHS counselors are available to assist students throughout the remainder of holiday break.
