Two Sault Ste. Marie men arrested on open murder charges have been arraigned in court

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. (WLUC) The two Sault Ste. Marie men arrested on open murder charges have been arraigned in court.

18-year-old Jeremy Lehre has been charged with Homicide Open Murder, Tampering with Evidence, Malicious Destruction of Property between $1,000 and $20,000, and Larceny in a Building.

21-year-old Aaron Lehre has been charged with Homicide Open Murder, Larceny in a Building, and Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer.

Jeremy Lehre has a probable cause conference set for November 13th.
No court date has been set yet for Aaron Lehre.

Both men were arrested after police officers responded to report of an assault.

48-year-old Wesley Douglas was found in grave condition and was air lifted to Ann Arbor.

Later that day Douglas passed away due to injuries sustained during the assault.

The suspects’ relationship to the victim is not fully known at this time and they are believed to be acquaintances.
