Three sent to the hospital after two-car crash Friday evening

MUNISING TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - Three people were sent to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash Friday evening.

At approximately 5:00 p.m., Troopers from the Michigan State Police Negaunee Post responded to a report of a two-vehicle personal injury crash on M-28 near Percy Road.

A 2003 Honda Pilot driven by a 58-year-old Grand Rapids man was travelling westbound on M-28 and lost control. The vehicle crossed the center line into the path of an eastbound 2008 Dodge Nitro driven by a 53-year-old female from Munising.

Both drivers and a passenger in the Honda were transported to U.P. Health System Marquette by EMS. Speed was a factor in the crash.
