ESCANABA, Mich. (WLUC) - The Delta County Airport is a busy place these days.
One of the many things happening is a project to refurbish one of the runways.
At a cost of more than $2.5 million, work is being done on the crosswinds runway and a taxiway at the airport.
Coming in at more than 5,000 feet, it serves as a secondary runway for the airport and is primarily used by smaller planes.
Construction should be finished by July and the runway will be painted in August after having had time to cure.
The airport's primary runway is scheduled for similar construction in 2019 or 2020.
