Rozsa Center named in top 35 best university performing art centers

HOUGHTON, Mich. (WLUC) - Michigan Tech's Rozsa Center has received online recognition for their programs and events.

Clickitticket.com named the Rozsa in their 35 best university performing art centers. The Rozsa was applauded for their location, natural resources and student participation. Rozsa hosts student performances like the Superior Wind Symphony. They also draw national and international tours. Russian National Ballet and major Shakespeare Companies are repeat performers in the Rozsa.

"We are very remote, and yet we have a 1,067 seat theater. In addition to giving the community and all of us a chance to see world-class performances, it also gives students an opportunity to interact with professionals working in the fields to which they aspire," said Rozsa Marketing Manager Bethany Jones.

Tech Theatre Company presents "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at the Rozsa next weekend. A link to the full events calendar is available in our related link section of this article.
