Rollover accident injures one in Iron Mountain

The Marquette County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the report of a one vehicle rollover personal injury crash that occurred on US-41 near Country Ln. in Chocolay Township Sept. 3.

IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WLUC) - Iron Mountain Police Department was dispatched to a one vehicle rollover personal injury accident on Park Avenue near the intersection of Millie Hill Estate Drive on September 7th at approximately 8 p.m.

The SUV involved in the accident, heading southbound on Park Avenue, was driven by a 25-year-old Iron Mountain man. It was reported that a deer ran in front of the vehicle causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle entered the ditch and rolled over.

In the vehicle were two passengers, one of which received non-life threatening injuries. This passenger, a 46-year-old Iron Mountain man, was transported to Dickinson County Hospital System by Integrity Care EMS.

The 25-year-old driver of the vehicle was arrested for suspected Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) and lodged in the Dickinson County Jail. The name of the subject will not be released until his arraignment which is scheduled for September 21st at 9:30 a.m. in 95-B District Court.
