MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - A pony ranch in Ishpeming is celebrating a partnership with the Greater Ishpeming Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce.
Pond House Ponies and the Sleighman hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to showcase what they offer to the community.
From sleigh rides in the winter to carriage and horseback rides in the summer, they encourage the public to come out and enjoy the horses.
"We do basically an hour of pony riding, small lessons, and things like that" said William Richards, the Sleighman. "We have three different arenas that we can start out very small and as you grow we can get into a bigger arena. We have 30 acres of property where we can go riding on our private trails so you have less interference. If you get comfortable there then later on you can ride out behind the house on public land."
The ribbon cutting ceremony took place along with their five Norwegian Fjord horses and one donkey.
