UPDATE: One person air-lifted after crash in Delta County

BARK RIVER, Mich. (WLUC) - UPDATE: Deputies with the Delta County Sheriff's Office responded to D Road in Bark River for a car/train accident at approximately 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

The female driver of the car, a Bark River resident, was air-lifted by the Valley Med helicopter to U.P. Health System - Marquette. The extent of her injuries are unknown at this time.

The accident remains under investigation and a more details will be released by the sheriff's office on Thursday, January 5.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Bark River Fire Department, Bark River First Responders, Rampart, Michigan State Police, the Department of Natural Resources, Valley MedFlight Services and Gene's Towing.

A serious crash in Delta County Wednesday has left at least one person injured.

At least one person was airlifted from the scene at roughly 5:15 p.m.

A gold Cadillac sedan was involved in the accident.
