One injured after two-car intersection collision in Gladstone

GLADSTONE, Mich. (WLUC) - One person is injured after a two-car accident Sunday in Gladstone.

Around 3:13 p.m. Sunday, Gladstone Public Safety officers responded to a two-car personal injury accident at the intersection of S. 9th St. and Minneapolis Ave.

An 85-year-old Gladstone resident was traveling westbound on Minneapolis Ave. and disregarded a stop sign at an intersection, resulting in the vehicle colliding with a 21-year-old Gladstone resident who was traveling northbound on 9th St.

The 21-year-old driver sought his/her own medical care at the ER for a leg injury.

The 85-year-old driver was issued a citation for disregarding the stop sign.

Michigan State Police assisted at the scene.
