Update: Names released of drivers involved in fatal crash near Hurley, Wisc.

HURLEY, Wis. (WLUC) - Update: Monday, January 29, 2:20 P.M:

The names of the two people involved in the fatal crash in Iron County, Wisc. have been released.

45-year-old Tracy L. Niehaus of Mercer Wisc. was killed in the crash.

32-year-old Ryan L. Eilo from Montreal, Wisc. was transported to Aspirus Ironwood Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

There was alcohol found in Niehaus' system and no enforcement action will be taken against Eilo.
One woman is dead, one man injured early Sunday morning in two-vehicle crash in Iron County, Wisc.

At 2:56 a.m. Sunday, a crash occured on US-51 at County Highway CC near Hurley.

A 45-year-old woman driving a 2014 Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on US-51 when the car crossed the center line, striking a 2006 Pontiac Vibe driven by a 32-year-old male. The female driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver was transported to Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood, Mich., with non-life threatening injuries.

The names are being withheld at this time, pending notifications of the families involved.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is conducting the investigation and reconstruction of the crash.

The Iron County Sheriff's Department, Hurley Police Department, Hurley Fire Department, Oma Fire Department, Mercer Fire Department, Beacon Ambulance Services, Iron County Highway Department, and Iron County Coroner’s Office all assisted at the scene.
