Officers respond to two-car accident Friday morning

IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WLUC) - The Iron Mountain Fire and Iron Mountain Police Departments were dispatched to a two car personal injury accident at the intersection of US-2 and Ridgeview, the Wal-Mart light, at 8:37 a.m. on Friday.

It was learned that an eastbound passenger car on US-2 driven by a 21-year-old male from Kingsford failed to stop for the red light. While passing through the intersection the eastbound vehicle struck a vehicle driven by a 44-year-old female from Iron Mountain that was pulling onto US-2.

Both drivers were transported by ambulance to Dickinson County Hospital for treatment of what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. The male driver from Kingsford was cited for the red light
violation.

Assisting the Iron Mountain Fire and Iron Mountain Police Departments on scene was Integrity Care EMS.
